Here are some of our customer's most popular glazing products and a simple guide to choose which better suits your space. You can combine and use multiple of these products in each glazing unit.
Safety glass
Using toughened or laminated glass in double glazed units can ensure higher standards of safety. even though it is necessary to use safety glass for large dimensions but many customer choose to use them in smaller glazing units for safety reasons. Toughened glass can be identified from its stamp which is usually placed in one corner of a glass.
Lower U-Value
having glazing units with lower U-Value means lower heat transfer, higher energy efficiency and warmer winters with cheaper utility bills. The most popular way of achieving this is by using Softcoat or Low-e (k) glass as the internal pane. In addition, the type of gas and spacer bar used in glazing units can be improved for even lower U-value.
Privacy
Satin or textured glass can provide privacy without having to avoid light. Textured glass comes in variety of patterns and privacy levels which its options can be provided on request. Sandblasted glass is also popular as you can have your required design, number or letter hatched on glass. you may have seen this on windows above or beside entrance doors where the building number is hatched.
Noise control
In order to have a calm home or work space, we need to reduce the noise transfer levels from outside. One way of doing this is to use Acoustic laminated glass. However using double or triple glazing units can also reduce the noise levels.
Slimline units are ultra thin double glazing units which are the alternative to single glazing. while keeping the appearance and characteristics of period and listed properties, slimline units can fit into some original wooden sash windows and provide a better Thermal and sound benefits.
